Singazenzela Programme Home
WIKI UPGRADE: Hi everyone, we have just upgraded our version of Daisy. As with all open source software - we have uncovered some unexpected and undocumented features This means that until we sort it, the only way to see attachments is - please click on the info link NOT the name link. Lets us know if you are having problems with this or anything else. 9 April 2007
Based on an isiZulu Word meaning 'we can do things for ourselves' Singazenzela is not another website – but a set of interactive services that empower African vulnerable children and young people to initiate and access relevant life services – whatever they need, however the need it! More>>>>>
QUICK TIP: If you are only seeing the home page its because you still need to log in - go to the drop down User menu above
This Wiki is offered as a way for The Singazenzela Africa Programme Partners to co-ordinate their joint activities. It is a transparent, peer to peer way for us to work up creative ideas; pool & organise collaborative knowledge and know-how; set the course for a successful joint venture; and, track on-going activities. As individual projects emerge, seperate sub-wikis will be developed containing just the material relevant to that activity - some users will only be able to enter the parts that are of direct relavance to their project.
This Wiki is not a full blown collaborative working environment - no diary, no discussion threads etc. It is best viewed as a self-paced and self-guided tour around a shared repository of resources. It works as a content management system for handling these documents, components, links and other similar items - in a systematic (version controlled) way. As a result the work of the team is recorded in a growing set of common, living documents. (Best viewed with a screen resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels)
This Wiki assumes that each individual will be (at different times, for different documents) a guest, or a reader, or a reviewer or, an author!
Success depends on everyone getting involved! It does not matter if you have never used a Wiki before; it is a classic example of just 'learning by doing'! So feel free, not only to add new stuff, but also to refine and enhance items that you find here!
